Malacanang said the results in Social Weather Stations Survey’s (SWSS) latest poll only showed that Filipinos are experiencing better living conditions under President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.
“Indeed genuine change under the leadership of President Duterte which has been felt by our people coupled with their hope for a better future under the current government certainly makes Filipinos across all geographic areas happy – and the opposition sad,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.
Data from SWSS revealed that Filipinos are very happy and satisfied with life.
In its poll conducted last December, SWSS stated that adult Filipinos who are “very/fairly happy” with life reached a record-high 94 percent, up 4 percent from the 90 percent registered in September 2017.
With this 94 percent, 57 percent said they are very happy, 37 percent fairly happy, 5 percent not very happy, and one percent not at all happy.
Respondents under this ‘happy’ category answered the question: “If you were to consider your life in general these days, how happy or unhappy would you say you are on the whole?”
Meanwhile, 92 percent of Filipino respondents said they are “very/fairly” with how their lives are going–56 percent of the respondents said they are very satisfied, 37 percent fairly satisfied, 6 percent not very satisfied, and 1 said not at all satisfied.
SWSS said they were asked with this: “On the whole, are you very satisfied, fairly satisfied, not very satisfied or not at all satisfied with the life you lead?”
SWSS conducted this survey through face-to-face interviews with 1, 200 adult Filipinos across the country from December 8 to 16 last year.
