An intrinsic value of helping others, not of recognition but of genuine concern and intention, is the sole principle of a Filipino-Dutch Myrla Danao.

Danao received the highest recognition “The Orde can Orange Nasau (Orange of the Orange-Nassau)”, given to a Dutch who does public service and volunteer activities.

Her achievement is a pride to the Filipino nation because despite living abroad, she never fails to give back to her home country.

As a board member of a foundation “Con Amor” that gives financial donations to developing countries, her position has sustained the operations of Sibol, a child development program of Gawad Kalinga foundation in the PH.

Danao is also a board member of Stitching Bayanihan that gives support to Filipinos in the Netherlands.

Her positive attitude and genuine concern towards her fellow Filipinos reflect the Filipino traits of compassion, generosity and empathy.

May she serve as an inspiration to our fellow kababayans here and abroad.
