Words of gratitude: Duterte, Go praised for aiding OFW repatriation

A local government official extended her gratitude to President Rodrigo R. Duterte and his closest aide, Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, for the successful repatriation of her two constituents from Doha, Qatar.

Mayor Araceli Somosa of Calatrava, Negros Occidental, thanked Duterte and Go for facilitating the repatriation of Jeniez Pepito and her child.

“Maraming salamat (Thank you). We will never forget what you have done for us and to my constituent. Rest assured we will treasure this,” she said.

The Office of the President, through the office of Go, worked closely with concerned government agencies to expedite the repatriation of Pepito and her child.

Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Alan Timbayan said that they were sent back to the country from Doha, Qatar on June 27.

They left Hamad International Airport at 9 a.m. via a Philippine Airlines flight and arrived the following day at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for onward flight to Cebu City.
